Last Post

The time has come. This is my final post here at https://edrosack.com. My WP Pro Web Hosting plan at InMotion expires on 20 September 2025 and I don’t plan to renew it. So this Central Florida Photo Ops website will go offline next month.

But I want to preserve the content (posts, pages, comments, …). I’ve made a complete offline backup. I’ve also created a new free WordPress.com blog and imported everything from here to there. The new archive site is online now. You can check it out at https://edro1237.wordpress.com.

I probably won’t be adding much (if anything) new there. But feel free to browse there and enjoy the existing content. Time permitting, I’ll go through and clean up obvious import errors.

I’ll still welcome questions / comments at the new site. You can also see what I’m up to on Flickr at https://flickr.com/edrosack, where I’ll keep posting photos. And you can send me messages via Flickr too (use the … link next to my name in the header).

Note that your reader subscriptions will NOT transfer over. You can re-subscribe at the archive site if you’d like, but remember there probably won’t be much new info.

I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for your gracious support and encouragement over the years!

Take care of yourselves and each other. And if you can, make some photos!

Ed

  1. Thank you, Ed. You have helped us with good photo information, images to aspire to, and places to shoot. Thank you again for your help and inspiration. I appreciate it very much.

  2. Thank you for posting all your spectacular photos and graciously sharing your knowledge. I have enjoyed all your posts and want to acknowledge the time it took to make them. Just wanted to let you know that your work was well appreciated. Take care.

    1. You’re very welcome Stephanie. It did take some time, but I think the effort’s been worth it.

  3. Hi Ed, Sorry to see your blog come to a close! You have been my go-to for Central Florida photo locations for years and your insights have provided me with invaluable photographic knowledge. Plus, I know how much time and effort it takes to publish a blog, so I can truly appreciate the sacrifices you have made for your readers. Thanks again my friend! Jeff

    1. You’re welcome Jeff. I’m a bit sad that it’s ending, but it’s time. As you know, it takes effort (and content) to keep a blog going. I’m just not getting out enough anymore. I’ll still photograph as much as I can and post to Flicr. And follow your blog of course!

    1. Thanks John. I’m sure we’ll still be interacting on Flickr. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your photo work and insight!

  4. Well, THAT made my coffee taste bitter. On the other hand, your motivation continues to move me in directions I need to go, so, I’ll pour another cup.

Your expertise, and willingness to share it, has been extremely welcome, Ed. Looking over your art (yes, it is), I often wonder how you achieved a particular effect. Then, I scroll down a bit and there is the method explained so succinctly even I can understand it. And attempt to emulate it.

For all of your effort and inspiration – Thank You.

Your motivation to make me head in a particular direction will, no doubt, have me renewing my visits to Flickr. See you there!

    1. So sorry Wally. It was never my intention to ruin anyone’s coffee!

Thank you for your kind words and you’re very welcome. I’m glad I could provide something useful.

And I hope you know your blog has been an inspiration to me too.

I’ll be watching for you on Flickr and keep stopping by your blog.

      Ed
